Fatal. The Official Export will not run until it is cleared.
What it means
Fund balance components that don't add up to the ending balance
By fund and resource, objects 9700-9790 must sum to Object 979Z, the ending balance CDE computes from your beginning balance and the year's activity. The components are keyed at year end; anything posted after they were keyed breaks the tie.
Why it fires
The usual causes
- Late entries after the components were keyed (an accrual, an audit adjustment, a reclass)
- A restricted resource whose 9740 was not updated to its final balance
- Unrestricted 9790 not recomputed after assignments changed
How to fix it
The repair
- For each restricted resource, set 9740 equal to the resource's 979Z.
- For unrestricted, set 9790 equal to 979Z less the other components (9711-9789).
- Re-extract and reimport; this is usually the last check to clear because every other correction moves 979Z.
