CHECKOBJECTFatal (F)
An object code that isn't valid this year
CDE's wordingThe following codes for OBJECT are not valid. Your general ledger data must be corrected and the data reimported.
Fatal. The Official Export will not run until it is cleared.
What it means
An object code that isn't valid this year
Each object is checked against CDE's list. Locally defined objects must be converted to the CDE object in the export; a local object that reaches CDE unconverted fails here.
Why it fires
The usual causes
- A locally defined object (a 58XX split, a local benefit object) not rolled up in the export
- An object CDE retired or renumbered
- A typo in the last four digits
How to fix it
The repair
- Recode or fix the crosswalk, re-extract, reimport.
- For objects new this year, confirm the exact code CDE published before assuming a typo.
