What it means
A goal that isn't allowed in that fund
The fund by goal matrix limits which goals can carry activity in each fund. Instructional goals in a debt service fund, or program goals in a fund that only carries undistributed activity, fail here.
Why it fires
The usual causes
- Activity coded with a program goal in a fund that only carries goal 0000
- The wrong fund on an otherwise correct string
How to fix it
The repair
- Recode the goal to one the fund allows, usually 0000, or move the entry to the right fund.
- Warning severity: an explanation is accepted if the coding is deliberate.
