EXP-POSITIVEWarning (W)
A function with a negative balance
CDE's wordingThe following expenditure functions have a negative balance by resource, by fund. (NOTE: Functions, including CDE-defined optional functions, are checked individually, except functions 7200-7600 are combined.)
Warning. CDE accepts it with an explanation entered in the TRC explanations.
What it means
A function with a negative balance
By fund and resource, each expenditure function should not net negative (functions 7200-7600 are combined). Same causes as OBJ-POSITIVE, seen by function.
Why it fires
The usual causes
- Credits posted to a function whose charges sit in a different resource
- A reclass that moved more out of the function than went in
How to fix it
The repair
- Move the credit to the function and resource with the original charge, or explain the exception.
