Indirect cost transfers don't net to zero within a fund
CDE's wordingTransfers of Indirect Costs (Object 7310) do not net to zero by fund.
Fatal. The Official Export will not run until it is cleared.
What it means
Indirect cost transfers don't net to zero within a fund
Object 7310 charges indirect costs to programs and credits them back to unrestricted, inside the same fund. By fund the debits and credits must net to zero.
Why it fires
The usual causes
- Indirect charged to the programs (7310 debit in each resource) with no offsetting credit in resource 0000, function 7210
- The credit posted to 7350 or to a revenue object
- The credit posted in a different fund
How to fix it
The repair
- Post the offsetting 7310 credit in the same fund (resource 0000, goal 0000, function 7210) for the total charged to programs.
