LCFF transfers don't net to zero

CDE's wordingLCFF Transfers (objects 8091 and 8099) do not net to zero for all funds, by object.

Fatal. The Official Export will not run until it is cleared.

What it means

LCFF transfers don't net to zero

Objects 8091 (LCFF Transfers, Current Year) and 8099 (LCFF Transfers, Prior Years) move LCFF between funds, typically to a charter school fund (09 or 62). Across all funds each object must net to zero.

Why it fires

The usual causes

  • The general fund posted the negative 8091 and the charter fund never posted the positive side
  • The two sides posted to different objects (8091 and 8099)
How to fix it

The repair

  • Post the receiving side with the same object, so each object nets to zero across funds.
In SACS Pre-Flight

What the tool shows

Shows the net by object.
